Troy P. Zehnder has never fit neatly into a single category.

His life and career have crossed leadership, corporate security, theology, emergency preparedness, military training, writing, coaching, and high-pressure environments where understanding people is often just as important as understanding the situation.

That range of experience eventually became the foundation for The TZehnder Library.

At the center of Troy’s work is a simple belief:

Every experience has something to teach us.

A relationship can teach us about human nature. A failure can reveal something about character. A leadership challenge can expose the difference between authority and influence. Scripture can force us to reconsider assumptions we’ve carried for years. And sometimes an ordinary moment in a parking lot can say more about people than any textbook ever could.

Troy writes about all of it.

Education and Experience

Troy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Homeland Security from American Military University and a Master of Arts in Theology from Liberty University Baptist Theological Seminary.

His professional background includes security and loss prevention, leadership development, emergency preparedness, and crisis-focused environments. His additional training includes leadership development, mindset conditioning, autogenic performance training, private security operations, interviewing and investigations, and other security disciplines.

But Troy’s perspective was never shaped by education and professional experience alone.

It was shaped by life.

Success and failure. Leadership and responsibility. Relationships and loss. Faith and doubt. Adversity and resilience. Moments when the plan worked—and moments when life completely ignored the plan.

Those experiences influence a body of writing that refuses to stay inside one subject.

The Mission

Troy’s work is not built around telling people what to think.

It is about giving them something worth thinking about.

Through writing, speaking, coaching, and conversation, his goal is to challenge assumptions, encourage individual thought, strengthen faith, explore human nature, and help people recognize the lessons hidden inside their own experiences.

Because ultimately, the measure of a life isn’t simply what someone accomplished or accumulated.
