The world feels increasingly divided. Every headline, every debate, every cultural clash reminds us of a deeper reality: good and evil, God and Satan, cannot coexist in the same space. Whether it’s in a person’s heart, a family, a community, a nation, or the world itself, the line has always been clear, even if people try to blur it.
The Divide of Understanding
The Bible tells us plainly that those who do not know Christ cannot understand the Word of God. Paul wrote:
“The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.” (1 Corinthians 2:14)
To the unbelieving heart, God’s Word is nonsense. To those who love Him, His Word is life and truth. This is why we are witnessing a widening disconnect. Some cling to the eternal foundation of God’s Word, while others reject Him, choosing instead to follow their own deceitful hearts.
Vanity Exposed
King Solomon, who tasted everything the world could offer, came to this conclusion: “Vanity of vanities, all is vanity” (Ecclesiastes 1:2). No amount of wealth, pleasure, power, or ambition can fill the emptiness of a heart apart from God. That void was created to be filled by Christ alone. And when we look at society today, restless, unsatisfied, chasing after every new thing, we see Solomon’s wisdom playing out all over again.
A Nation Imploding
As the United States stumbles deeper into division and moral chaos, Jesus’ warning rings true:
“Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and no city or house divided against itself will stand.” (Matthew 12:25)
The implosion we see is not just political or cultural; it is spiritual. A nation that rejects God’s order cannot stand. When truth is traded for lies, when sin is celebrated and righteousness mocked, collapse becomes inevitable.
Hope for the Remnant
And yet, there is hope. God has always preserved a faithful remnant. As the darkness grows thicker, the light of Christ shines brighter in His people. Jesus told us: “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.” (Matthew 5:14)
This is not the time to retreat into fear or despair. It’s the time to stand boldly in the truth of God’s Word, to let His light shine through us in a world that desperately needs it.
The Choice Before Us
Maybe this is God’s way of removing the gray, of drawing the line clearly. No more lukewarm faith. No more half-hearted living. The contrast between His Kingdom and the world’s kingdom is stark, and each of us must choose which side we stand on.
As for me, I stand with Christ. Because light and darkness can never occupy the same space.
